Soraya Raju is the CEO and Founder of Migrate Success – a business to help skilled migrant professionals achieve success in Australia. Her goal is to bridge the culture gap. She developed the LAB program- LOOK, ACT, BELONG to help skilled migrants to integrate faster into Australian society.

 

She arrived as an international student to Australia and has over 10 years of working experience in Malaysia and 30 years in Australia in senior executive positions in the financial sector.

 

Soraya understands the difficulties faced by migrants seeking to be successful and be part of the greater Australian community. She draws on her own experience of conducting business in a global and multicultural world to guide her clients through the maze of cultural norms and social etiquette.

 

Soraya’s experience as a CELTA qualified teacher in teaching English as a second language to migrants and refugees has helped her to understand the issues they face. Soraya also teaches them Australian culture and idioms to ease their understanding and integrate faster into the community.

Soraya is also a trained image and etiquette consultant and was the Past-President of the Sydney Chapter of the Association of International Image Consultants. She was awarded the Chapter Member of the Year for Australia by her peers for her contribution to the image industry. Soraya is also a Past President and Area Governor of Toastmasters International.

 

Soraya is a Board member of the Macquarie Park Ryde Business Chamber. Her passion is to help small business owners, especially women in small business.

  

To give back to her community, Soraya volunteers with various organisations, including Dress for Success, an organisation dedicated to helping women from disadvantaged backgrounds prepare for interviews and develop their workplace skills.

 

Soraya is also a jewellery designer under her business brand ‘Navasha Collection’.
